Country interior - the best design options in different styles

Currently, the country house is less and less associated with homework. Now this is a place for solitude from the bustle of the city. The cottage interior is different from the apartment. Based on whether this building will be used in the winter and what tasks it has to perform, the interior is equipped.

Interior styles at the cottage

For a summer cottage interior, as well as for houses and apartments, the use of styles is relevant. Typically, the following areas are used to equip a site: modern, Scandinavian style, chalet, country, Provence.

Modern style

In a modern style, the cottage interior involves the use of wallpaper, paint, stone and brick trim. The furniture is selected functional and modern without any frills. When arranging a summer residence in this direction, juicy and neutral shades, a small table, a fireplace, and minimalistic decor will be relevant.

Chalet

Only in a country house decorated with natural wood and stone, as well as with a fireplace, you can create a chalet style. There should be animalistic decor - pottery, needlework textiles, wicker furniture, a loft from a bar, protruding peaks. The room should look like a shepherd’s home.

On the second floor there are bedrooms, on the first floor there is a kitchen and a living room. As finishing materials, plaster of natural shades, a means for whitewashing wood, a protective varnish are used.

Scandinavian style

Urban furniture, an abundance of decorative elements - things that the Scandinavian cottage interior does not accept. This style is characterized by soothing colors, wooden furniture and decoration, restraint in decor.

Country

Due to its specificity, the rustic style, or, as it is also called country, is very popular among summer residents. It is distinguished by natural shades, flowers in pots, embroidered or checkered textiles, wooden finishes. A functional stove is suitable for completing a style.

Provence

Provence style is ideal for the summer version of a country house. Well-thought-out decor elements are used here (porcelain dishes, ruffles, cafe curtains, floral embroidery), a fireplace, and special light furniture.

Room decoration in the country

Depending on the purpose of the room, there are certain rules for its design.

Kitchen

This room may be small in a country house. But at the same time, it has a basic set of tables and cabinets, as well as all the communications necessary for this room. It is decorated with painted plates, handmade items, curtains, tablecloths, fresh flowers. The countertop appropriate in the country house is made of wood, stone, tile.

Living room

The fireplace in the rustic living room is the main attribute of the house. The interior may be different depending on the chosen style. You can use a large sofa with a massive table, carpets with antique furniture, a large service, paintings.

Bedroom

On the second floor of a country house, as a rule, there is a bedroom. Finish it with plaster or wallpaper, cover the beam with a protective varnish. Be sure to have a swing cabinet, chest of drawers. A wooden or metal bed is complemented by drawers in which it is convenient to store things or bedding.

Veranda

Terrace or porch form the first impression of a country house. It can be nicely equipped with wicker light furniture, a stationary or folding table, a small cupboard.

The glazed terrace is decorated with light tulle or short curtains. A climbing vine or a fern planted on the roof will replace the open veranda.

Hallway

The entrance hall, as in any other house, should not be littered.There will be enough hangers, a low nightstand, and a shoe shelf. As a decor, you can use bright baskets, a housekeeper, a knitted walkway.

Attic design

The attic gives the cottage an advantage as an additional living space. In this place a bedroom or a children's room is arranged. Windows of different sizes or shapes and the slope of the roof are able to give an individual look to the attic. Boxes are made under the arch to help save space. There is also a games room with board games, bars, a hammock.

Very stylish attic capable of doing:

  • good natural lighting, which is complemented by lamps and lamps;
  • for a sufficient amount of natural light, the window is made as open as possible, and curtains of suitable length are used to highlight it;
  • Necessary built-in furniture not cluttering up the space;
  • painting the walls according to the zoning principle, which also allows you to mask the difference between the walls.

Stove and fireplace in the interior

The fireplace and stove, in addition to the function of heating the premises, serve as a wonderful independent accent at home. Therefore, if available, do not heap a cottage interior with additional decorative elements.

Fireplaces built into the wall are called open. Closed - are protected by heat-resistant glass and heat a large area. The fireplace is decorated with tiles, a cast-iron panel, carvings.

An oven can become an original country element, which, moreover, still superbly heats a country house. The stove can be mobile, which allows you to install it in any room, and can be made stationary. It is cheaper than a fireplace and has an additional, undeniable advantage - here you can cook food.

Small country house

With the correct zoning of the space, the selection of compact furniture, a small country house can be functional and cozy.

With the corner headset in the corner of the living room you can create a spectacular kitchen. Organizers and all seasonings here are attached to the wall.

You can combine the bedroom with the living room. In such a room a sofa-book and a sliding chair are installed. It’s nice to equip the bedroom in the attic and veranda. The attic bed located on the closet or bunk bed is suitable for children. A rack, a screen, a folding bar counter are used for zoning the space in the house.

You can heat a small house with a mobile radiator or use stove heating.
