Russian centenarians: interesting facts and secrets of the longevity of the oldest people

Life expectancy in different countries is different. For example, in the USA, a person who has lived to be 85 years old is considered to be a long-liver. The generally accepted international longevity border is around 90 years old. On the island of Okinawa, people aged 100 years old people are still involved in martial arts. Most centenarians live here.

In 2017, a new record was recorded in Russia in the number of citizens who crossed the centenary. To date, the average life expectancy on the planet is 70-75 years. Perhaps soon, and Russia will be no exception. In our country there are many people who celebrated their hundredth birthday, but these events are not advertised as widely as in other countries. Therefore, among the Russians there are no people who, by their longevity, are listed in the Guinness Book of Records. Long-livers of Russia will be presented below, however, the exact age of some of them cannot be documented.

Grandfather Magomed

Grandfather Magomed was born in the village of Gedari on May 1, 1890. Magomed Labazanov died at the age of 123. The man was very wise, people from different parts of the country came for his instructions. Fellow villagers treated him with great respect, the leadership of the Kizlyar district set Labazanov as an example, and young people always looked up to their grandfather.

Once, Magomed, along with other Chechens, was deported to Kazakhstan. After retiring, he returned to Dagestan and remained to live in his native land. Married 2 times. Labazanov had no children with his first wife. And in his second marriage with his wife, he lived until the end of his days. From his second marriage, he had 4 sons, then - there were 9 grandchildren who gave birth to 12 great-grandchildren of Magomed. Grandfather Magomed said that he lived so much thanks to proper nutrition. He ate healthy food and as much as he wanted.

Tuti Yusupova

Tuti Yusupova was born in 1880. She lived in the Aul of Karakalpakstan with her family. She turned 133 years old in 2012. All her life she worked in the name of her family and her homeland. She married at 17, and at 60, she became a widow and later lived alone. She became the richest man in world history. Her wealth was in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In total there were more than a hundred.

Habimbal Khametova

In the village of Aminevo, Habimbal Khametova was born. She died in 2011. Then she was 121 years old. This is a doubtful case, because documents confirming the date of birth of the centenarians were lost. But Khametova claimed that her birthday was July 1. Her husband died in the war, so she raised all the children, whom they had seven, alone. In her village, she was a healer and treated people.

Habimbal Khametova adhered to the daily routine, proper nutrition, regularly brewed useful herbs, and made daily walks.

Pelageya Zakurdaev

Pelageya Zaukurdaev was born in 1886. Documents confirming the date of birth of the centenarial are present. Pelageya received her education as an adult. She has been married 4 times in her entire life. Zakurdaeva had no relatives. Her second husband had daughters and sons from her first marriage. She took care of them and raised them as her own. In Tashkent, she met her third love. Soon, the husband died. The fourth husband was the German Carl. But by coincidence, he died in a car accident. Zaurdaeva Pelageya died at 118 from ARVI.

Sarkhat Rashidova

In his native village, Sarkhad Rashidova lived until 131 years old. She even remembered how Alexander II ruled. She did not take any medicine other than herbs. She prayed daily.Sarkhat did not have her own children, she raised a strange child and lived alone. The woman was always happy with the guests, the people around her called her sensitive and hospitable.

Varvara Semennikova

Varvara Semennikova was born in 1890 in Yakutia. Her husband was a reindeer herder, and after his death she continued the family business. She transferred her knowledge and skills in the field of reindeer husbandry to everyone. For services to the residents of the village where she lived, she was awarded the title.

Barbara had two children, but they died in infancy. After that, Semennikova took custody of 4 children, whom she raised them and became a grandmother. In total, she had 10 grandchildren.

Until the age of 100, Varvara Semennikova on a special occasion could drink a glass of wine, smoked a lot. Her diet included venison and fish - the usual food of those parts. Until her death, the centenarian was competent.

Gosad Tsallaev

The woman claimed that such longevity was transmitted to her from a snake that bit her in her childhood. She died in 122 year of life. The Gosad worked all his life, and after retirement she started her own farm. She retained her ability to work up to 98 years. Gossada Tsallaeva had 11 children, 4 of whom were foster children.

Strelnikova Maria Petrovna

In 2005, Strelnikova was recognized as the oldest Russian woman. Every day, Maria Petrovna consumed dairy products and vegetables. She loved coffee and did not eat meat. I drank coffee so much that I could not remember how many cups I consumed per day. She worked until 81 years old, and died at 115 years old.

Tanzilya Bisembeev

Tanzilia - living to this day, the long-liver of Russia. There is evidence that this ethnic Kazakh woman is one of two people in history who have survived to 120 years. The woman has 3 sons, 10 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. Tanzilia lives in the village of Alcha, located in the Krasnodar Territory. A long-lived woman was born on March 14, 1896 and was the oldest among 8 children in the family. Her first husband died during the Great Patriotic War. In infancy, their joint son also died.
After the war, Tanzilia married a second time and gave birth to her husband 3 sons. Until the age of 100, a woman had never visited doctors, but after a centenary she had to undergo surgery to improve her vision. Today, it practically does not happen on the street, as old age makes itself felt by constant fatigue. However, according to relatives, Tanzilia never sits idle. Now she lives with her youngest son, whom she gave birth at the age of 66.

Anischuk Ekaterina

Another centenarian who lives in Kuzbass today is Anischuk Ekaterina Trofimovna. She was born in 1903 in Novosibirsk, was a home front worker, and was awarded the title Veteran of Labor. Catherine has lived all her life in her hometown.

Among the public figures and celebrities of Russia there are a lot of centenarians:

  • Annenkov Nikolay - actor of the Soviet Union, who lived exactly 100 years;

  • Sokolov Sergey - Soviet Minister of Defense, died at 101;

  • Semenova Marina - a famous ballerina, died at 101.

 

It is difficult to determine exactly who in reality is the oldest person in Russia due to the absence of documents confirming the date of birth in some people.
