Holiday calendar 2018
In anticipation of the New Year 2018, it's time to study the production calendar of holidays and weekends, which is designed for those who work from Monday to Friday. Thanks to this, you can plan your time or even organize a short trip abroad. Therefore, we recommend that you make appropriate notes for yourself.
January
One of the most important and long-awaited holidays in Russia has always been considered the New Year. This is not surprising, because the longest holidays fall just at this period. In 2018, they last as long as ten days. They start from the weekend, that is, from December 30, 2017, since it's Saturday. In addition, December 29 will be a shorter day in many organizations. Therefore, you must go to work starting January 9th.
Another indisputable advantage will be the transfer of two days off. Since January 6 and 7 fall on non-working days, namely on Saturday and Sunday, they are postponed. Therefore, in March and May we are waiting for another additional weekend, which cannot but rejoice. Thus, in January there will be seventeen working days and as many as fourteen days off. If you are going to go on a trip, then you should hurry up, as last minute packages are bought very quickly.
February
This month we are expecting a not so long weekend, but nevertheless they are. This is due to the celebration of Defender of the Fatherland Day, which is traditionally celebrated on February 23. In addition, according to the production calendar, the working day on February 22 will be shortened. Also, the holiday is followed by two days off - this is Saturday and Sunday.
March
Unlike last year, 2018 will please the Russians with a continuous series of four days off. Traditionally, International Women's Day - March 8th will be a day off.
As for March 9, this year it will also be a day off. As mentioned above, January 6th is Saturday, so it is already non-working. Therefore, the Russian government postponed the day off to March 9th. Following this day is Saturday and Sunday. This means that in March there will be as many as four days in order to relax and have a good time. In addition, March 7 in many organizations will be a shorter day.
April May
May holidays 2018 will also give the Russians a few days off. By the way, there will be one more day than last year.
To make the holidays longer, it was decided to postpone the day off from April 28 to April 30. But on Saturday, you still have to work the day off. Labor Day, May 1, will also be a weekend. As for May 2, it will be inactive due to the transfer from January 7.
Due to this, from April 29, rest will last until May 2 inclusive. And this is the whole four days that you can not only spend in the city, but also go to the countryside and organize an interesting pastime for the whole family.
Of course, Victory Day - May 9 will also be a holiday weekend.
June
In June, the only holiday is celebrated - the day of Russia on June 12. Therefore, as in previous years, we will have one day off.
However, this year's holiday falls on Tuesday, so it was decided to make June 11 a day off. Of course, it will have to be worked out in advance - on Saturday, June 9. Thanks to such changes, three days in a row will be non-working: from June 10 to 12. We recommend visiting these city events these days, as interesting concerts, festivals and stunningly beautiful fireworks will be waiting for you.
November
National Unity Day of Russia is usually celebrated on November 5. However, in 2018 it falls on Sunday, so it is automatically rescheduled for Monday. That is, three days will be festive: November 3, 4 and 5.
December
On Saturday, December 29th will be a working day, but in many offices you can count on the fact that it will still be reduced. Thus, the day off is postponed to December 31. And starting from the 30th, the next New Year holidays will begin, which are so awaited in the whole country. However, their duration is still unknown.
As you can see, in 2018 there will be quite long vacations in the winter and a few more not so long in other months. Therefore, we recommend that you think about how exactly you spend them in advance to make the rest memorable.
