Rules for unedged manicure at home

Unedged manicure is gaining more and more popularity every year. This is not surprising, because cutting tools are practically not used for such a procedure. Due to this, the risk of infection is reduced, and the marigolds look attractive for a longer time. In Western countries, almost all women choose this option, so this manicure has another name - European.

Advantages and disadvantages of unedged manicure

Unlike trim manicure, each girl will be able to make a European version, even at home. For this, you will not need a large number of tools, a basic set of nail care will be enough.

Most often, experienced masters offer unedged manicure to owners of too thin and sensitive skin. Indeed, in this case, it is simply impossible to injure her. And this, you see, is a significant advantage.

In addition, too aggressive work with tools or small cuticle injuries with a trimmed manicure can lead to infection. In this case, this risk is minimal. After all, the cuticle is pushed to the base of the nail plate. By the way, thanks to this mechanism, the roots of the marigolds are not injured. Therefore, many girls over time note that the nails have become stronger and do not exfoliate even with regular application of varnish.

Perhaps one of the main advantages of unedged manicure is that over time the cuticle becomes thinner and grows slower. Therefore, you need to do it not so often. Well, and of course, European manicure is more budgetary, since for its implementation various tools and tools are not needed at all.

As for the disadvantages, they are not so significant compared to the advantages. Nevertheless, we note that unedged manicure will definitely not work if your cuticle is too dense, coarsened. To process it, it will take a lot of time. And as a result, microtraumas are possible, since the cuticle is often separated unevenly.

Those who have decided to switch to European manicure will have to show patience and perseverance. The fact is that immediately the cuticle will grow at the usual pace and you will inevitably have a desire to cut it off. A good result will be only after a month and a half of correct and accurate work.

Essential Tools for Unedged Manicure

First of all, it is worth buying disposable sticks to work with the cuticle. They can be wooden or plastic. The latter often have a silicone tip, due to which such a tool is very convenient to work with. It can also be used several times, disinfected before each use. In turn, wood is considered a more budget option. Therefore, they are perfect for beginners. But still, you should not use the same orange stick more than two times.

The next thing without which it is impossible to make this type of manicure is a cuticle softening liquid. There are a fairly large number of such tools. But still we recommend choosing those that contain fruit or lactic acids. Also make sure that the composition contains essential oils or plant extracts. Due to this, they gently affect the cuticle and do not harm the nails.

The next thing to choose is nail files. Pay attention to glass and ceramic, as they do not injure the nail plate. In addition, they are durable, which can not but rejoice. To process the surface of the nails, also purchase a special buff or a polishing file. They help get rid of bumps.

And of course, you should definitely buy various cuticle care products. It can be a cream for hands and nails or a special oil. Choose what you like best.

European manicure: step by step instructions

First of all, we note that there are three types of unedged manicure:

  • the dry version suggests that the cuticle preparation should be applied immediately. This significantly saves time, but nevertheless, such an effect can trigger the occurrence of allergies.
  • The wet method assumes that the nails are lowered into warm water for a while. Only then is the product applied. Experienced masters argue that this particular type of manicure is the most correct.
  • Hot manicure is used only if the cuticle is too dense and roughened. But unlike the previous version, this is not using water, but a special lotion.

After you have decided on the type of unedged manicure, proceed to the removal of varnish. We recommend choosing a liquid without acetone, as well as with various oils and vitamins. Due to this, they will not delaminate and break too quickly.

The next stage is the processing of marigolds. To do this, we adjust their length and shape using a nail file. You can use scissors if you wish. After that, we polish the nail plate with a special buff to remove bumps.

If necessary, we make a bath for nails, after which we apply a cuticle softener. It is best to rub it with massage movements for several minutes. But there are also such funds that need to be left on the skin and not rubbed. Therefore, always pay attention to the instructions that are written on the back of the package. Residues can be removed with a cotton pad. Only after that, gently push the cuticle away with an orange or plastic stick. It is best to start from the center and gradually move to the edges.

After processing all the nails, apply special oil or cream to the cuticle. If you wish, you can also apply a moisturizer to your hands.

As you can see, unedged manicure is quite simple in execution, so every girl will cope with it. But still, be patient, as the expected result will be only after a few procedures.
