Review of the new Lada Largus 2018

The car is a passenger-type vehicle with front-wheel drive and belongs to the small class. In fact, this is a compact car Dacia Logan of universal variation, which was adapted to domestic weather conditions and the requirements of drivers. This model is a joint project of domestic AvtoVAZ and the French brand Renault. The car first entered the domestic markets in 2012 and represents the following three variations:

• 2-seater van;
• 7-seater minivan.

In the past, 2016, this model was able to enter the top 10 in sales in the domestic automobile market. For this reason, the developers and designers of the company decided to design and launch a new 2018-2019 Lada Largus car.

Exterior

The domestic automobile company is positioning the new version of the car as a modern car, made in the type of body - wagon. Given this, all exterior changes were aimed at conforming to the concept of developers.

Major external changes:

• new X-shaped bumper;
• radiator grille in the style of Vesta and X-Ray;
• narrowed main optics located at a slight angle;
• rear suspension springs have been slightly increased;
• increase in wheel arches;
• new 16-inch wheels;
• side body molding has become a little thinner;
• enlarged exterior mirrors with a missing turn signal;
• a dark plastic body kit surrounds the entire body for additional protection of the metal from damage.

The dimensions of the car and the design solutions behind the car remained unchanged, but the ground clearance has increased and now amounts to 175 mm, which plays a positive role for domestic users and Russian roads.

Thanks to a number of design decisions and external changes, the developers achieved a more confident and solid appearance, while the car remained all the same functional.

The interior of the updated station wagon

Inside the car, the changes are almost invisible, and especially they are not. The main change was the use of more expensive materials and high-quality materials for interior trim. Here you can find soft plastic that does not scratch. Glossy plastic adorned the instrument panel, and was also used as special inserts in the side doors of the car.

Some elements received a chrome trim to emphasize them and give the interior attractiveness. The upholstery of the ceiling and the interior is made of more expensive and high-quality fabric materials in comparison with the previous version of the domestic car.

Due to better and more expensive materials, the developers achieved a better level of sound insulation, and structural changes to the car were also able to positively affect this factor.

Given current trends, the company has increased the basic set of electrical equipment:

• power steering;
• air conditioning;
• heated front row of seats;
• steering wheel heating;
• ERA-GLONASS system;
• electric adjustment of the front row of seats;
• power windows.

Due to the larger number of compartments, niches managed to achieve a high level of ergonomics and comfort inside the car.

Specifications

The new version of the car involves the installation of only gasoline versions of power units with the following parameters:

• 1.6 liters with capacities of 106 and 114 horses;
• ICE with a volume of 1.8 liters and a capacity of 123 horsepower.

The transmission is available to choose from and only two options are offered - these are 5-speed manual and automatic. The maximum speed of the top version with the most powerful engine is 180 km / h.

Start of sales and price

The five-seater variation of the station wagon in the basic configuration will cost 490 thousand rubles. If you take the 7-seater version, you will have to pay about 20 thousand rubles. The maximum variation with top-end equipment is much more expensive, the price indicator can reach one million rubles.

Manufacturers said that they should expect a new product in the domestic market until January next, 2018.
