2018 Volkswagen Jetta review
Jeta is a compact five-seat sedan that was designed and manufactured by the German automobile concern VW Group. The car began to be produced in 1979 and during this time was able to win love and popularity among motorists, as a very reliable car at an affordable price. The sedan is produced on the Golf platform, currently the sixth generation of the model is currently on the market, which has been produced since 2010.
Advantages of the car, which are noted by its owners:
- long service life;
- high-quality performance of the body, which is not amenable to corrosion;
- economical engines;
- spacious and comfortable lounge;
- power units are able to operate on low-quality fuel.
Since the previous version has been released for more than 7 years, the company announced that it was ready to introduce a new model that meets global trends and represents the seventh generation of the 2018 model.
Exterior news
For the first time to hear about the appearance of a new modification could be heard back in the summer of 2016. The main external change in the car is an increase in size. The company took this step due to the fact that the Skoda Octavia significantly threw the model back and squeezed in the automotive market. Now the Germans are ready to again compete with the Czech car, moreover, they want to surpass it in terms of sales in the near future.
The appearance of the new generation of a small car will be more stylish and interesting, now the car will try to become like business-class cars. The main series of changes was made in front of the car, so the new product will look a little different. The embossed front bumper received a large air intake and original chrome trim.
The radiator grill is small in size, received several horizontal lines of chrome type. Optics received a quadrangular shape and LED design of navigation lights. In general, the headlights will be fully equipped with LED light elements, in accordance with current trends.
The windshield changed the angle of inclination, which became much smaller relative to the ground. This step is aimed at improving the aerodynamic qualities of the car. The front pillars were narrowed, and the roof got a domed shape. The windows of the side doors have become significantly larger, but the exterior rear-view mirrors have become much narrower. It is worth noting that changing mirrors does not affect visibility in any way, which means the driver will not suffer from these changes.
The back of the car received an individual design with a voluminous trunk. The trunk lid received an autonomous edge, which protrudes slightly behind the rear bumper. The bumper itself received a large number of edges and faces, at the bottom there are integrated brake lights and a headlight unit. Immediately under the bumper in the corners are exhaust diffusers with chrome trim.
Interior
Inside, the car received a high-quality finish from expensive materials, among which soft plastic, chrome inserts and polished aluminum predominate. The front row of seats received a comfortable shape and many different settings for a comfortable ride. The special-shaped head restraints complete the composition of comfortable seats for the driver and his side passenger. Behind the space will become more due to changes in the dimensions of the car, which means that there three people can comfortably sit down at once. For the C-class car, the 2018-2019 VW Jetta has a fairly large trunk, the volume of which is 510 liters.
The front panel received a classic design: two instrument scales and an on-board computer monitor, which is located in the middle.It is worth noting that the ergonomics of the car remains at a fairly high level, since all the buttons, switches and keys have a convenient location and a stylish chrome trim. The steering wheel has received a multifunctional design, which means that it is not necessary to be distracted from the road in order to control the basic functions of the sedan.
The heating elements in a new generation car are located very differently, this change was made in order to provide more uniform heating and temperature change for the shortest possible time period. Due to this, the car should become more attractive in the domestic market given the climatic conditions of Russia. The car backlight also has an LED design.
