About once a week, relief comes in the form of rain. Storms generally occur only in winter, in summer - this is a rare occurrence.

The beaches of the resort town

The most well-groomed is the sandy beach - the Professor's Corner. In Soviet times, the elite of creativity and science rested here. This is a city beach, you do not need to pay for entering its territory.

The gentle coast is the central beach of the city. He is also free. You have to pay, as elsewhere, for sunbeds. There are a lot of holidaymakers here in the midst of the holiday season.

Free access to the children's beach, located in the northern part of the resort town. For children, when visiting it, it is better to take appropriate shoes. There are places with pebbles and it will be unpleasant for children to walk on it. These beaches are relatively clean. The cleanest beaches belong to elite hotels. But ude will have to pay for visiting such beaches.

Entertainment and Attractions

In Alushta there is something to see besides the sea and restaurants. It is highly recommended to visit places:

  1. "Crimea in miniature." This exposition includes 50 historical monuments in miniature, located throughout the Crimean peninsula. This exhibition is located in the city center in the open air and welcomes visitors daily from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. An adult ticket costs 500 rubles, a child - 300.

  1. Dolphinarium "Watercolor". You can look at these amazing mammals and even swim with them daily, except Monday. The cost of attending the performance is 1000 rubles. Five-minute swimming and communication with dolphins will cost 3500 rubles.

  1. Alushta aquarium. There really is something to see here. Time stops from all this beauty of the fauna. Hundreds of different fish, several species of crocodiles and turtles from different seas of the world are collected in one place. Entrance costs, rubles:
  • for children from 3 to 13 years: 300;
  • adult: 600.

  1. Fortress Aluston. These are the ruins of the Aluston fortress, which was built in the 16th century by order of Emperor Justinian I. Several times during the wars it was destroyed, and then restored. After the Turkish invasion, it was no longer restored. The breathtaking thought that this fortress has seen for many centuries.

  1. Museum of Nature.More than 1500 exhibits of fauna and flora from all over the Crimean peninsula are presented in this museum. If someone comes to look at these specimens, it is recommended to visit the dendrozoo, which is located nearby.

  1. Valley of ghosts. This unique place is located on Mount Demurgee, or rather, at its foot. The whole valley is strewn with fragments of rocks that resemble the outlines of people's faces, parts of figures and bodies. And the sculptor of these works is nature itself. By the way, some plots of the film "Prisoner of the Caucasus" were shot in this place.

Pros and cons of relaxation in Alushta

There are more positive moments of relaxation in this wonderful Crimean city than negative ones. Of the negative sides, I would like to note:

  1. Accumulation of garbage, both on the street and on city beaches. But this problem is no longer the city itself, but rather the problem of the entire human society.
  2. The next negative point is the high cost of rest. And this applies to the entire South Coast. Sometimes it’s cheaper to fly to Turkey to rest than to relax in your own country. And this under the same conditions of residence and food.

But no Turkey and other exotic countries can catch up with this sea air and with these charming landscapes. The eye pleases everything around: cliffs, golden beaches, cypress trees, thuja. What about the sea? It is clean and amazing. Activities here are organized at an altitude - descent along mountain rivers, fishing, diving, climbing mountains.
