The most dangerous roads in the world: hellish tracks with photos

No one can reliably name the exact date the roads appeared. It is only known that they appeared thousands of years ago. Without them, people would have to travel from one point to another for a very long time. But, unfortunately, not all roads are safe. Today we talk about the most dangerous and terrible roads in the world.

Tren a las nubes

The railway route in Argentina is one of the worst on the planet. Travelers traveling along the Tren a las Nubes railway sometimes think they are traveling through the clouds. A train travels through a twenty-one tunnel, twelve viaducts, and twenty-one bridges. Also along the route there are two spirals and two zigzags. The train also reaches a height of more than four thousand meters.

Yungas road

Death Road or Yungas Road is a road in Bolivia that causes outright horror. People, before going down this road, pray for survival. The terrible road is known for all its absolutely unsuitable driving conditions and the same absolute indifference to the driving rules of local drivers. The road was built in wartime 1932. The number of crashes on the road of death is actually uncountable. Information about road accidents in recent years is extremely inaccurate. However, the availability of the statistics that the local authorities have at their disposal allows us to call the road one of the most dangerous and deadly roads on Earth.

Passage du gois

In France, a highway is laid along the bottom of the bay, which connects the mainland with the island and has a length of only four and a half kilometers. You can drive along the road only twice a day after low tide, and then for several hours. At high tide, the Passage du Gois floods to four meters. A very small road is considered risky. Due to the neglect of warnings on signboards located at the entrance to the road, most drivers fall into a water trap from which you can get out by swimming, reaching the rescue buildings. There pit drivers wait until low tide. But save the car will not succeed.

Atlantic road

In Norway, an incredibly picturesque and extremely dangerous track was built - the Atlantic Road. Its length is about eight kilometers. The road passes through small islands, which is why drivers often struggle with strong winds, torrential rains and washing waves. Wet road turns movement into aquaplaning. But despite all of the above, tourists very often choose a travel route through the Atlantic Road.

Karnali Highway

In Nepal, there is one of the roads, which has a length of two hundred and fifty kilometers and each year taking more than fifty lives. The Karnali Highway is a narrow lane that borders on mounted rocks and deep cliffs. It is difficult to ride on it even on motorcycles, which is to say about cars, buses and large freight vehicles. Most of the tragedies that occur on the road occur due to the lack of road fences, as well as due to frequent landslides and rockfalls. Every day, more than a hundred cars move along the Karnali highway, ignoring the danger. This is due to the fact that the road is the only connection between dozens of villages that can only be reached via the Karnali highway.

Kabul jalalabad

The Kabul-Jalalabad highway in Afghanistan has a length of about sixty kilometers and is a series of continuous turns and sharp cliffs. The statistics of accidents on the Kabul-Jalalabad road is awesome. Here, accidents occur every day.But the reason lies not only in the highway itself, but also in the fact that residents from nearby areas neglect the rules of the road.

Tunnel Guoliang

Guoliang Tunnel Road in China passes through a mountain pass. It is laid in the Taihang Mountains in Henan Province and is a popular tourist attraction. Guoliang Tunnel has many windows offering stunning views of the valley. In the rainy season, not everyone dares to go along a picturesque road, on which there are many sharp turns without fences. The number of accidents is growing every year.

Zoji La Pass

In India, there is one of the most dangerous roads on the planet - Zoji La Pass. The road on the Zodji la pass rises to a height of more than three and a half kilometers. A terrible stretch of over eleven kilometers with such a huge height takes the lives of drivers almost daily. The condition of the road is just awful. Even true fans of extreme sports do not always dare to venture on such a trip. But local drivers are not so lucky with the choice, as they have to travel on a terrible road every day.

Kalyma

The Kolyma highway has several names: a bone road, a mortal path. The terrible name of the road is quite true. There are many bad roads in Russia, but the worst of them is Kolyma. No wonder the track is included in the list of the most dangerous roads on the planet. The harsh climate contributes to the constant icing of the road, and there is nothing and no one to sprinkle it. Road services do not keep track of old sections of the road. Fences were not installed on the Kolyma highway, and the terrain was mountainous. Because cars often fall down. The most dangerous section on the route runs along the depression, where the air temperature reaches minus seventy-one degrees.

Dalton highway

The terrible Dalton Highway in the United States stretches over six hundred kilometers in Alaska. The track runs through deep forests and along the Yucca River. Along the Dalton Highway, there are only three locations. Not a single gas station, not a single cafe, not a single hotel is located on a segment of three hundred eighty kilometers along the highway. Almost all year round the road is covered with ice. Permanent winter threatens avalanches. Only desperate drivers set off along the Dalton Highway, where thrills remain in the memory for the rest of your life.

Nanga parbat pass

Pakistan is known for one of the most difficult roads in all respects, stretching for sixteen kilometers. Outwardly, it resembles a path strewn with gravel.
